Toyota Picnic: which version to buy
The Toyota Picnic was sold as a Compact Van across two generations, from 1 May 1996 to 31 January 2009. Five catalogue versions sit behind that span. Toyota Picnic generations: what actually changed

The measured difference is the gearbox: Manual, 5 versus Automatic, 4, and 10.8 s versus 11.7 s. Rear suspension on this version is Semi-independent, spring, not independent as on 1 generation 2.0 AT. If you want an automatic in the lighter Picnic: 2.0 AT (1 generation), 128 hp. This is the only 1 generation Automatic.
