Specs that actually differ
Every Stavic here is either a 1998 cm³ Diesel inline-4 Turbo or a 3199 cm³ Gasoline inline-6 with boost listed as No. Names in the table are the catalogue names; two 2.0 AT and two 2.0 MT and two 3.2 AT lines are separated by power and drive.
| Version | hp (kW) | Nm | cm³ | Fuel | Cylinders / layout | Boost | Gearbox | Drive |

Valves per cylinder: 4 on the 149 hp diesels and both 3.2 AT lines; not measured on the three 155 hp diesels. Engine position: Front, longitudinal on the 149 hp diesels and both 3.2 AT; not measured on the 155 hp diesels. Compression: 16.5 on all diesels, 10 on both 3.2 AT. Bore × stroke: 86.2 × 85.6 mm (diesel), 89.9 × 84 mm (gasoline). Fuel: Diesel on the 2.0s, 95 on the 3.2s. Injection: Distributed injection (multi-point) on both 3.2 AT; not measured on all diesels.
Power per litre (hp ÷ displacement in litres): 2.0 AT/2.0 MT 149 hp → 74.6 hp/L; 155 hp diesels → 77.6 hp/L; 3.2 AT 220 hp → 68.8 hp/L. The smaller Diesel is the denser engine; the Gasoline six buys peak horsepower, not specific output.
Engine: 149 hp vs 155 hp vs 220 hp
Peak torque on every diesel is 360 Nm. The 149 hp tune makes that peak at 2000–2500 rpm; the 155 hp tune holds 360 Nm from 1500–2800 rpm — 500 rpm earlier and 300 rpm later. Peak power moves from a 3400–4000 rpm band (149 hp) to a single 4000 rpm point (155 hp). The 155 hp lines are the ones marked Euro 5; the 149 hp diesels have eco class not measured.
3.2 AT 220 hp AWD makes 312 Nm at 4600 rpm; 3.2 AT 220 hp RWD makes 310 Nm at 3750 rpm. Versus any diesel that is 48–50 Nm less torque, arriving much higher. Peak power is +71 hp versus 149 hp and +65 hp versus 155 hp. Power comes at 6100 rpm (AWD) or 5500 rpm (RWD) — well above the diesel’s 4000 rpm ceiling.
If the job is pulling mass at low rpm, 360 Nm at 1500–2800 rpm on 2.0 AT 155 hp or 2.0 MT 155 hp is the stronger paper figure. If the job is the highest listed top speed, both 3.2 AT lines are rated 191 km/h versus 181 km/h on Automatic 2.0s and 180 km/h on both 2.0 MT lines. 0–100 km/h is not measured on all eight, so a sprint ranking cannot be written from this data.
MPG and range: diesel vs gasoline
Mixed consumption, where measured:
- 2.0 MT 149 hp and 2.0 MT 155 hp: 7.6 L/100 km (city 9.8, highway 6.4)
- 2.0 AT 149 hp RWD and 2.0 AT 155 hp RWD: 7.8 L/100 km (city 9.9, highway 6.6)
- 2.0 AT 149 hp AWD and 2.0 AT 155 hp AWD: 8.1 L/100 km (city 10.1, highway 6.9)
- 3.2 AT 220 hp AWD: 14.3 L/100 km (city 19, highway 11.6)
- 3.2 AT 220 hp RWD: city, highway and mixed all not measured
Arithmetic on the 80 L tank and mixed figures: 2.0 MT ≈ 1053 km; RWD Automatic 2.0 ≈ 1026 km; AWD Automatic 2.0 ≈ 988 km; 3.2 AT AWD ≈ 559 km. AWD on the Automatic diesel costs 0.3 L/100 km mixed versus the matching RWD 2.0 AT (8.1 − 7.8). Automatic versus Manual on RWD diesel costs 0.2 L/100 km mixed (7.8 − 7.6). 3.2 AT AWD uses 6.2 L/100 km more mixed than 2.0 AT AWD diesel (14.3 − 8.1) — about 1.8× the diesel mixed rate.
149 hp and 155 hp diesels that share gearbox and drive share the same consumption figures in this dataset. The extra 6 hp does not show up as extra fuel on the listed cycles.
Dimensions, weight, payload
Ground clearance is 185 mm on all eight. Wheels where listed: 225/65 R16 and 235/60 R17 on 2.0 AT 149 hp AWD, 2.0 AT 149 hp RWD, 2.0 MT 149 hp, and 3.2 AT AWD. Wheel sizes are not measured on the three 155 hp diesels and on 3.2 AT RWD.
Kerb / gross / payload (gross − kerb) / kg per hp (kerb ÷ hp):
| Version | Kerb, kg | Gross, kg | Payload, kg | kg/hp |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2.0 AT 149 hp AWD | 2104 | 2850 | 746 | 14.12 |
| 2.0 AT 155 hp AWD | 2104 | 2850 | 746 | 13.57 |
| 3.2 AT AWD | 2071 | 2850 | 779 | 9.41 |
| 2.0 AT 149 hp RWD | 1992 | 2750 | 758 | 13.37 |
| 2.0 AT 155 hp RWD | 1992 | 2750 | 758 | 12.85 |
| 3.2 AT RWD | 2030 | 2750 | 720 | 9.23 |
| 2.0 MT 149 hp | 1968 | 2750 | 782 | 13.21 |
| 2.0 MT 155 hp | 1968 | 2750 | 782 | 12.70 |
AWD versus the matching RWD 2.0 AT (same hp) adds 112 kg kerb (2104 − 1992) and 100 kg gross (2850 − 2750). 2.0 MT is 24 kg lighter than RWD 2.0 AT (1968 − 1992) and has the highest diesel payload at 782 kg. 3.2 AT AWD is 33 kg lighter than diesel AWD (2071 − 2104) with 779 kg payload. 3.2 AT RWD is the weakest payload of the set at 720 kg — 62 kg less than 2.0 MT.
Chassis is the same pattern on every version: Independent, spring front and rear; Ventilated disc front; rear brakes labelled Disc in the source. Clearance does not change with drive or engine, so AWD is not buying extra height here.
Which version to choose
There is only one generation, so there is no “newer Stavic” to wait for. The eight lines are parallel trims of the same 2013–2016 Minivan.
Choose a 155 hp diesel if Euro 5 is the filter. 2.0 AT 155 hp AWD, 2.0 AT 155 hp RWD and 2.0 MT 155 hp are the Euro 5 rows. They keep 360 Nm but widen the band to 1500–2800 rpm and add 6 hp / 4 kW versus the 149 hp diesels. Consumption, tank, clearance, gearbox type and drive pairings match the 149 hp twins. Wheel sizes are not measured on the 155 hp rows.
Choose 149 hp diesel if you need listed tyre sizes. Those four 149 hp and 3.2 AT AWD lines publish 225/65 R16 and 235/60 R17. Eco class on the 149 hp diesels is not measured.
Choose RWD unless you need AWD. On 2.0 AT, AWD costs 112 kg and 0.3 L/100 km mixed for the same 149 or 155 hp and the same 181 km/h. Gross rating rises from 2750 to 2850 kg, but payload on AWD diesel is 746 kg versus 758 kg on RWD Automatic — AWD does not increase payload. Same story on gasoline: 3.2 AT AWD is 41 kg heavier than 3.2 AT RWD (2071 − 2030) and is the only 3.2 AT with measured consumption.
Choose Manual if mixed economy and payload matter more than an extra 1 km/h. 2.0 MT (149 or 155 hp) is RWD only, 6 speeds, 180 km/h, 7.6 L/100 km mixed, 1968 kg, 782 kg payload. Versus RWD 2.0 AT: −24 kg, −0.2 L/100 km mixed, −1 km/h top speed. There is no AWD Manual in this list.
Choose Automatic 2.0 if you want five speeds and 181 km/h on the diesel. That is every 2.0 AT (149 and 155, AWD and RWD).
Choose 3.2 AT only for 220 hp and 191 km/h. You give up 48–50 Nm versus the diesels, drop to 68.8 hp/L, and on the AWD row you nearly double mixed consumption (14.3 versus 8.1). 3.2 AT RWD has consumption not measured and eco class Euro 3 — the only Euro 3 line in the set. Kg per hp is the best on paper (9.23–9.41) because 220 hp is pulling 2030–2071 kg, not because the six is light versus a 2.0 AWD diesel.
Practical shortlist from the numbers:
1. Daily load and fuel: 2.0 MT 155 hp — lightest diesel, best mixed figure, Euro 5, 782 kg payload. Tyres not measured. 2. Same economy brief with listed wheels: 2.0 MT 149 hp — identical mass, speed and consumption; eco class not measured. 3. Automatic without AWD weight: 2.0 AT 155 hp RWD (Euro 5) or 2.0 AT 149 hp RWD (tyres listed). 4. AWD: 2.0 AT 155 hp AWD if Euro 5 matters; 2.0 AT 149 hp AWD if you need the wheel sizes in the sheet. Expect 2104 kg and 8.1 L/100 km mixed. 5. Peak hp: 3.2 AT AWD if you accept 14.3 L/100 km mixed; 3.2 AT RWD if you accept consumption not measured and Euro 3.
Problems and reliability are not in this dataset; do not infer them from power or weight. Prices are not in this dataset. What the “extra” configuration buys is fully described by the deltas above: +6 hp and a wider 360 Nm band on 155 versus 149; +112 kg and +0.3 L/100 km mixed for AWD on 2.0 AT; +0.2 L/100 km mixed and +24 kg for Automatic versus Manual on RWD 2.0; +71 hp, +10 km/h and −48 Nm versus 149 hp diesel if you take 3.2 AT AWD.
