What the extra displacement actually buys

Specific output (hp ÷ litres of the stated displacement):

The 2.3 six-cylinder and the 193 hp 3.5 are the densest engines in this catalogue. The 150 hp 3.5 is the least dense: you pay 931 cc over the 135 hp 2.6 (3528 − 2597) for only +15 hp (150 − 135). That is about 62 cc per extra horsepower. By contrast, the step from 2.0 to 2.3 is +265 cc for +23 hp (about 11.5 cc per extra hp) at identical 164 Nm.

Peak torque is 164 Nm at 3000 rpm on 2.0 MT, 2.0 AT, 2.3 MT and 2.3 AT. On both 2.6 power levels torque is not measured.
