The first-generation 1.8 MT records the quickest acceleration and highest top speed: 0–100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and 210 km/h. Its 210 km/h top speed is also 20 km/h higher than the best second-generation figure.

Within the second generation, the choice between the two 126 hp versions depends on transmission preference and performance. The 1.6 MT and 1.6 AT produce the same 126 hp and 150 Nm, but the Manual reaches 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds versus 12.9 seconds for the Automatic.
