Injection differs with the engine, not with the gearbox: both 2.3 MT and both 3.3 AT use distributed injection (multi-point); all four 2.5 versions use central injection (single-point or single- point). The 1200 kg 2.3 MT is the same 162 hp / 210 Nm with +40 kg and a higher stated top speed of 195 km/h. Torque still peaks at 5200 rpm, 41 Nm behind 3.3 AT.
Buy 2.5 MT only if you want the 106 hp four with a 5-speed Manual. 42.9 hp/L, 10.94 kg/hp (1160 kg) or 11.18 kg/hp (1185 kg), top speed 180 km/h, single-point injection, 2 valves per cylinder. You give up 56 hp and 27 Nm versus 2.3 MT for +211 cc. Prefer the 1160 kg 2.5 MT over the 1185 kg 2.5 MT unless you have a reason to take +25 kg for the same power.
Buy 2.5 AT only if you must have Automatic and cannot have the 3.3. Same 106 hp / 183 Nm as 2.5 MT, but 3-speed Automatic instead of 5-speed Manual, and kerb weight and top speed not measured. Versus 3.3 AT you lose 56 hp, 68 Nm, one gearbox ratio, and the only 200 km/h figure in the list.

The two 2.5 AT 106 hp cannot be separated by measured mass or speed in this data.
There is no second generation that “fixes” economy, acceleration, or wheel size: those figures stay not measured across 1984–1991. The arithmetic choice is 2.3 MT (Manual, high-rev 162 hp four), 3.3 AT (Automatic, 251 Nm six), or the 106 hp 2.5 if those two are not the car you want.
