1 generation (2002–2008) is the only Murano with a Gasoline 2.5 AT (163 hp, 4-speed Automatic, FWD) and the only 3.5-litre cars timed at 7.9 s to 100 km/h (3.5 CVT 234 hp FWD and 3.5 CVT 248 hp FWD). 2 generation, restyling (2010–2012) and 2 generation, restyling 2 (2011–2015) keep the same named engines and add the only Diesel: 2.5 AT 190 hp Turbo, 6-speed Automatic, AWD. Restyling 2’s 249 hp 3.5 CVT AWD trims mixed use from 10.9 to 10.6 L/100 km and CO2 from 261 to 248 g/km versus 2 generation 249 hp; 0–100 stays 8.0 s, top speed 210 km/h, kerb falls 30 kg (1820 → 1790).
