Mitsuoka Ryugi: which version to buy
The Mitsuoka Ryugi to buy is not the one with the biggest badge. Which Ryugi specs actually differ
Four versions, three of them named 1.5 CVT. Names must stay as in the database; they are told apart by power, drive, and fuel.

What that table does not show is why one of them is the better buy for a given job. That is arithmetic on the same rows.
Engine: hp per litre, torque, and what the extra 35 hp buys
Displacement is 1496 cm³ on every version. Power per litre is therefore just power divided by 1.496:
- 1.5 CVT Hybrid 74 hp: 49.5 hp/L
- 1.5 CVT Gasoline AWD 103 hp: 68.9 hp/L
- 1.5 MT 109 hp: 72.9 hp/L
- 1.5 CVT FWD 109 hp: 72.9 hp/L
The two 109 hp versions match on specific output. The AWD 1.5 CVT sits 6 hp below them (103 vs 109) and 29 hp above the Hybrid (103 vs 74). The Hybrid is 35 hp below the 1.5 MT (109 − 74).
Torque ranking is the same order at the top, not at the bottom:

Compression is not a buy-signal by itself, but it splits the engines into two families:

- 10.5 on the AWD 1.5 CVT (103 hp) and the 1.5 MT (109 hp), same 75 × 84.7

The 109 hp 1.5 CVT is therefore not the same Gasoline 1.5 as the 1.5 MT with a Variable gearbox swapped in. It is a longer-stroke, higher-compression 1496 cm³ with 2 Nm less peak torque, delivered 400 rpm later. The 1.5 MT and the 103 hp AWD 1.5 CVT share 10.5 compression and 75 × 84.7; the AWD version is the detuned, heavier sibling of that pair.
Boost is No on the Hybrid, the AWD 1.5 CVT, and the 1.5 MT. Boost on the 109 hp FWD 1.5 CVT is not measured.

Weight per horsepower: the real ranking for “which Ryugi to buy”
Kerb weights and the hp they carry:

Buy 1.5 CVT (109 hp, FWD) if you want 109 hp / 80 kW without a Manual. You pay 20 kg (1100 vs 1080) and 2 Nm (136 vs 138), and peak torque moves from 4400 to 4800. You also change engine geometry: 72.5 × 90.6 and 13.5 compression instead of 75 × 84.7 and 10.5. Boost is not measured. Drive stays FWD, clearance stays 155 mm, tank stays 36 L.
