Versus the carbureted 2.4 MT 124 hp on the same 2347 cm³ and the same 5-speed Manual, you gain 17 hp (+13.7%), 14 Nm and 8 km/h. Versus the 2.4 AT 141 hp, engine figures match (141 hp, 201 Nm, same injection); the Automatic 3 is 5 km/h slower at 175 km/h. That 5 km/h is the measured cost of the Automatic at this displacement.

If you want a Manual and a quoted 165 km/h, take a 2.2 MT with torque at 3000 rpm. If you want Disc fronts in this generation, take the Disc / Drum 2.2 MT or 2.2 AT. The 2.2 MT with 173 Nm at 4000 rpm is the odd one: torque peak is 1000 rpm higher and speed is not measured.
